Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri dixit is an acclaimed Indian actress best famous for her role in Beta Saajan, Hum Aapke Hain Koun. Her first fame was her 1980s role in Tezaab, in which she co-starred with veteran actor Anil Koopor. In the following film, Dil, Aamir Khan appeared with her. Born into a middle-class family in Mumbai she started learning dancing at a young age. At the age of 16 She began to act and suffered for several years as the majority of her early films failed. Eventually, she found success with Indian filmmaking and rose to the very top. She decided to take a break from her career following her marriage before returning to the industry of entertainment. Dixit played an important role as a lead actress in Gulaab Gang, a film focused on women's struggles in India. Dixit is nominated to win fifteen Filmfare Awards, out of which she was awarded eight. Padma Shri was awarded to Dixit, India's fourth highest civil honor. Her name is well-known for her social works as well.
